Jack Thayer Honored The Ohio Valley Automotive Aftermarket Association has awarded the “OVAAA Scholarship” for the past eleven years. The OVAAA Board of Directors recently voted to change the name to the “Jack Thayer Memorial Scholarship” in honor of the industry leader Jack Thayer.
Jack spent his entire life working and serving in the automotive aftermarket in Ohio. Jack worked for Columbus Ignition, Sterling Precision and finally Steego Parts Corp. He served as chairman of the Ohio Automotive Wholesalers Association from 1979-1981. Later he would serve as the OAWA/OVAAA Treasurer for nearly 20 years. Jack passed away in December of 2011.
