The Automotive Scholarship Web site, operated by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation Scholarship Committee, functions as a Web portal for scholarships offered by multiple non-profit automotive-related associations. Students submit one scholarship form and are considered for awards from all the groups whose criteria they meet.
Certain personal information is collected from scholarship applicants: name, address, city/state/zip code, phone number and e-mail. The site does not request applicants’ Social Security numbers and requests that applicants remove or obscure the numbers from transcripts or other documents.
Only the scholarship reviewers and program administrators have access to the applicant’s data in the secured section of the automotive scholarship site.
The Automotive Scholarship Web site does not allow outsiders to send any solicitations or advertisements to any applicants, with the exception that we do allow legitimate aftermarket employers access to some scholarship recipient contact information, in an effort to assist scholarship recipients in finding jobs.
Collection of Information from Children: The Automotive Scholarship Web site abides by federal law and the guidelines set up by the Federal Trade Commission regarding youth privacy. As such, the Automotive Scholarship Web site will not knowingly collect any personal information from or allow the registration of young people under the age of 13.
